The Factory Music Group

Communication & Media & PR

The Factory Music Group is embarking on a mission to provide small and medium-sized labels with access to resources typically exclusive to major labels.

Athens, Greece

Duration: 3–9 months (6 months preferred)

Commitment: Full-time, 5 days per week

Location: Athens, Greece (in-person, with hybrid/remote options depending on candidate availability)

Description

Are you passionate about technology, music, and building innovative digital solutions?
The Factory Music Group is seeking a Tech Intern to lead the development of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) designed to promote our artists and their music to a wider audience.

What makes this opportunity unique?

  • We have a selection of well-thought-out MVP concepts already prepared for you to choose from, so you can focus on hands-on development and select a project that matches your interests and skills.
  • You’ll gain deep insights into the music and creative industries, learning about the challenges and opportunities in promoting artists in today’s digital landscape.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with our marketing, creative, and development teams to conceptualize, design, and build a digital tool or platform that helps our artists stand out in the crowded music landscape. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a real-world project from ideation to launch, gaining hands-on experience in product development, user experience, and the music industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • MVP Development: Design, develop, and test a digital product (web or mobile) aimed at promoting our artists’ music.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and creative teams to define product requirements and ensure alignment with promotional goals.
  • User Experience: Implement intuitive, engaging user interfaces that make it easy for fans to discover and share our artists’ music.
  • Integration: Incorporate music streaming APIs (e.g., Spotify, YouTube) and social sharing features.
  • Iteration: Collect feedback, analyze user data, and iterate on the MVP for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience with web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript; frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular are a plus)
  • Familiarity with backend technologies (Node.js, Python, PHP, or similar) and working with APIs
  • Experience with SQL-based databases (we’re agnostic about the specific technology—as long as the solution is maintainable and scalable)
  • Interest in product development and user experience design
  • Enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or a related field
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills in English

Nice to Have

  • Experience with music tech APIs (Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, etc.)
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design tools (Figma, Canva)
  • Understanding of digital marketing or music promotion
  • Passion for music, technology, and creative industries

What You’ll Gain

  • The opportunity to select from a range of well-developed MVP projects, ensuring your work is impactful and aligned with your interests.
  • Hands-on experience in the music and creative sectors, with exposure to real-world challenges and innovative solutions.
  • Collaboration with experienced professionals in marketing, development, and creative roles.
  • An international company which works exclusively in English
