Make the videos for a plant brand with about 280,000 followers on TikTok and Instagram.
Dirty Roots Berlin is a plant-education brand and creative studio: handmade sphere planters, a book (Leave It the F*** Alone), short videos, a blog and a members club, all built on one idea: most plant advice is noise, so observe more and intervene less. A small studio run by the founder with a rotating team of interns, so you work on real things that ship.
What you will do
- Plan the week's reels on Monday: concept, one-message script, shot list.
- Shoot with the founder at the studio: phone or camera, lights, basic audio.
- Edit in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve: rough cut, fine cut, colour, export per platform.
- Build reels as series, each with its own editing style.
- Capture B-roll and behind-the-scenes footage; keep the archive organised.
What you will learn
The whole production workflow, vertical short-form editing that gets views, a strong brand voice, and a weekly content pipeline.
Who you are
- Film, media or communication student who already edits (send a portfolio or three clips).
- Comfortable on set and in Berlin most days: this role is far better in person.
- You like plants, or at least dirt, and a blunt sense of humour.
Practical: unpaid, built for Erasmus+ traineeship grants (we sign the learning agreement and issue the certificate). 2 to 6 months. English B2 or better. Direct daily contact with the founder.
Apply through the platform. Shortlisted applicants get a 15-minute video call.
