Accra, Ghana

Operating across high-need rural communities in Ghana, Benin, Togo, Senegal, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, and Peru, the STAESA Microfinance & Women and Development Internship is a battle-tested launchpad for rural entrepreneurs and global change-makers. Women are the economic backbones here; when you empower a woman, you lift an entire village. Working alongside local skills-training experts, you will step into the field to:

  • Scout & Nurture Talent: Uncover raw business concepts from sustainable agriculture to artisan cooperatives.
  • Provide Training: Deliver practical workshops in financial literacy, digital budgeting, and business scaling.
  • Be the Mentor & Catalyst: Provide the strategic "push" and guidance that transforms ideas into profitable enterprises.
  • Build Financial Foundations: Help women navigate banking systems to open their very first bank accounts.
  • Mobilize Capital & Global Sales: Design grassroots fundraising for micro-loans and execute marketing strategies to sell products locally, internationally, and online.

Who We Are Looking For (Students/Graduates):

  • Marketing, Advertising, Journalism & Comms: Build brand identities, set up online storefronts, and tell powerful stories that drive fundraising.
  • Economics, Business, Sociology, Human Rights & IR: Manage micro-loan portfolios, analyze development structure

Details: Year-round open enrollment. Flexible durations from 1 month to 1 year.
