Zavod Moja mavrica

Non-profit / NGO

We are a training base for interns and students. Our amazing young professionals bring new perspectives that complement our work. Together, we create a collaborative space to learn, grow, share knowledge and cocreate experiences.

Ljubljana, Slovenia

Initially, you will work on planning, implementing and evaluating activities together with our volunteers and target groups, like leisure evenings, focus groups, sports activities, street actions and interventions and internal educational activities.

Regular activities of our organisation that interns participate in:

- Street work with marginalized young people: approaching youth in public spaces, engaging in conversations and offering appropriate responses and support.
- Collaboration with volunteers: working alongside volunteers and supporting them in developing and implementing their ideas, as well as facilitating group activities.
- Qualitative research: conducting interviews with community members about their everyday life and experiences with housing, climate anxiety, gender-based violence or queerphobic violence, followed by coding and analysing the data.
- Workshop planning, organizing and facilitating: preparing and facilitating workshops for students of social work, psychosocial support or psychology.
- Non-formal education: drafting ideas and leading workshops for young people, youth workers, and social work students from Slovenia and abroad.
- Content creation: producing videos, articles, and event materials.
- Research and writing: preparing articles, grant applications, and related materials.

The exact tasks of interns also depend on which projects we are working on at that specific time.
