Job description

X23 is seeking a competent European Projects Junior Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will manage EU-funded projects, with responsibilities covering proposal writing, project coordination, and technical as well as financial reporting. This role offers a professional growth opportunity for candidates with some experience in EU project management.

The Junior Manager will:

  • Develop and submit proposals for EU funding programmes (Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, EFS, Single Market, Creative Europe, etc.)
  • Coordinate international project Consortia with supervision
  • Handle technical implementation and financial reporting of ongoing EU projects
  • Represent the organisation in partner meetings and project-related events
  • Maintain and develop relationships with European partners and stakeholders

Requirements

Level of studies:
Bachelor (EQF 6)
Master (EQF 7)
Minimun work experience:
2 years experience
Working language(s):
English/English
Italian/Italiano
Other job requirements:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in EU project management
  • Fluency in English (C1 level minimum) and Italian; knowledge of additional European languages is a plus
  • Availability to travel within Europe for project meetings and events
  • EU citizenship or valid work permit for Italy
  • Proficiency with project management software and MS Office suite
  • Knowledge of EU Funding Programmes
    • Proven experience with Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, INTERREG, or other EU funding mechanisms
    • Understanding of EU policy priorities and funding cycles
  • Project Development
    • Demonstrated ability in proposal writing
    • Proficiency in project design methodologies (Logical Framework, Theory of Change)
    • Experience in budget development for EU projects
  • Project Management
    • Working knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMI)
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Experience with project management tools
  • Consortium Coordination
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience working in multicultural environments
    • Meeting facilitation capabilities
  • Reporting Skills
    • Strong attention to detail in financial and technical reporting
    • Data analysis capabilities
    • Familiarity with EU reporting templates and procedures

    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
